Powerful, but a beast to set up
Airtable's flexibility is its greatest strength and biggest weakness. I love that we can build a completely custom database for our creative asset pipeline, linking campaigns to designers and final files. The ability to create different views for different stakeholders is genuinely useful. The learning curve is steep. Getting a new base configured properly is a major time investment, and it feels like you constantly need workarounds for simple relational tasks. Automations also get expensive quickly once you exceed the basic plan's limits. It's a great tool if you have a dedicated person to manage it, but it's not the simple plug-and-play solution we'd hoped for.
