A Powerful and Affordable Adobe Alternative
I switched to PDF-XChange Editor about six months ago to handle client reports and internal documentation. For the price, the functionality is outstanding. I'm constantly using the commenting and markup tools for collaborative reviews, and the ability to directly edit text and images in a PDF has saved me countless hours. The OCR feature is also surprisingly accurate for scanning old contracts. My only minor gripe is the user interface. It's incredibly powerful, but the sheer number of toolbars and icons can feel cluttered and a bit dated. A more modern, streamlined layout would be a welcome improvement.
