Robust Inventory Control, But a Dated UI
We've used Sage 50 for about a year to manage our small manufacturing firm's finances. Its real strength is the inventory management module. Tracking raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods is incredibly detailed and integrates perfectly with job costing. This is a level of control we just couldn't find in simpler cloud-based apps. The reporting is powerful and gives us the deep financial insights we need. My only real complaint is the user interface—it feels quite dated and can be clunky to navigate compared to more modern SaaS platforms. It’s a small price to pay for the solid functionality, but a refresh would be welcome.
A True Workhorse for Inventory-Heavy Businesses
We've been using Sage 50 for over a year to manage our small manufacturing firm, and it's been incredibly solid. The inventory management is its strongest feature by far — we can track raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods with precision, which was a major pain point with our previous software. The job costing tools are also essential for us to determine the profitability of each production run. It's a comprehensive package.
