Keeps Our Cross-Functional Teams Aligned
Asana has been a game-changer for our marketing team, especially for managing campaigns that involve the design and sales departments. The Timeline view is indispensable for visualizing dependencies and spotting potential bottlenecks before they become problems. Everyone knows who is doing what, and by when, which has cut down on endless status meetings. The ability to create custom fields has also helped us track campaign-specific metrics right within the task. My only real gripe is the mobile app. It’s fine for checking notifications or ticking off simple tasks, but anything more complex, like adjusting project timelines or dependencies, feels clunky and is much easier on desktop. Overall, a powerful tool that has definitely improved our workflow.

My team has used Asana for about a year to manage our content pipeline. The core functionality is solid – the board view is great for visualizing our workflow from drafting to publishing, and assigning tasks with due dates is simple. For high-level project tracking, it does the job. However, the platform has become incredibly bloated. The constant push for new features, endless notifications, and now the AI integrations feel like a distraction. It takes a lot of discipline to keep our workspace from becoming a chaotic mess. We find ourselves spending too much time managing the tool itself rather than our work. It's powerful, but the complexity is a major drawback for day-to-day use.
